The Warehouse Project 2024 season kicked off in style with Repercussion, an unforgettable day-to-night celebration that showcased the very best in electronic music. Held on 14th September, Repercussion once again took over the illustrious Depot Mayfield, transforming its vast industrial expanse into a multi-stage playground for thousands of ravers. This year’s edition was even more ambitious with the addition of The Roof above Depot Mayfield, adding to the three main stages – Depot, Concourse, and Archive – alongside the legendary Star & Garter pub.
Headlining the opening season show were two of electronic music’s most revered acts: Bonobo and Jungle. Bonobo, fresh from his Outlier showcase at The Warehouse Project’s first Australia edition, brought his signature sound to the main Depot stage. Jungle, riding high on the success of their latest album Volcano, delivered a captivating live performance as thousands gathered for their set. They were joined by a stellar line-up of global talents, including the emotive DJ Seinfeld, Peruvian DJ and vocalist Sofia Kourtesis, and the enigmatic jazz-house sensation berlioz. Manchester’s own Rich Reason and NTS radio host Tarzsa also brought their dynamic sounds to the stage, alongside a host of other cutting-edge acts, rounding off an unforgettable night of diverse music.

Over at Concourse, a more intimate 360° stage setup hosted a cross-genre blend of sounds, curated by the legendary Honey Dijon. Known for her ability to merge the classic with the contemporary, Honey Dijon brought her Chicago house roots and brazen flair to the stage. She was joined by amapiano champions Major League DJz, the soulful DESIREE, and underground stalwart Josh Caffé, alongside Parisian multi-instrumentalist and producer Chloé Caillet, and the rising Austrian-born, Manchester-based salute, whose energetic set brought fresh dynamics to the space. Rhythm Section founder Bradley Zero and The Warehouse Project’s longest-standing resident Krysko completed the line-up, creating a unique fusion of beats that had the crowd moving until the early hours.
Another highlight was Archive, where Manchester’s music venue YES took over to celebrate contemporary UK club sounds. Leading the charge was the city’s own Anz, joined by underground heavyweights like Hamdi, Bakey, and Love Remain. They were accompanied by rising stars Aletha, Tañ, and one of Manchester’s true heads Jim Bane who’s known for his in-depth knowledge of music and manages the city’s legendary record shop Eastern Bloc. Each delivered sets that showcased the cutting-edge talent within the UK’s underground scene, making Archive a key destination for fans of forward-thinking club music.
Making its debut this year, The Roof at Depot Mayfield provided a more intimate atmosphere with stunning views of the Manchester skyline. Luke Una’s É Soul Cultura brought deep house legend Chez Damier, the Chilean artist Paula Tape, and rising star Joey T to the decks, creating an electric vibe that felt both exclusive and effortlessly welcoming.

Celebrating Manchester’s dance music scenes, Repercussion also welcomed the Habitat crew known for their high-energy events with inclusive and vibrant atmospheres. The Star & Garter played host to the city’s newest online community radio station Crop Radio. And the Plant Room at Freight Island saw a host of local powerhouses including Mikey D.O.N, Me Gusta Collective, SNO, Levi Love, Shimrise, Sam Redmore & Joe Motion.
This year’s Repercussion also unveiled an impressive new lighting production, enhancing the experience across the three main stages at Depot Mayfield. The state-of-the-art lighting installations brought an immersive, visual element to the series, with cutting-edge technology and dynamic lighting sequences amplifying the energy of each performance.

From start to finish, Repercussion 2024 was a powerful testament to The Warehouse Project’s reputation for curating unforgettable experiences. Supported by media partners including Mixmag, DJ Mag, Crack Magazine, The Ransom Note, and Disco Pogo. We Are Indigo also secured significant buzz across lifestyle outlets such as CULTED and New Wave Magazine and further national and regional titles.
