Now Open at Depot Mayfield, Manchester | Bookable until 5th July 2026
The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind has officially launched at Depot Mayfield, Manchester, marking the exhibition’s debut in the UK and its arrival in one of the country’s most culturally vibrant cities. The immersive experience is now open and bookable until 5th July 2026.
Celebrating the mind of one of the world’s most famous street artists, the exhibition features over 250 reimagined works in a variety of forms – bringing Banksy’s iconic style to life in a unique and captivating way. Depot Mayfield has been transformed into an interactive collection of artwork, containing graffiti, photographs, video installations and prints, all reimagined to bring the Banksy history to life under one roof. A captivating video screening articulates his famous pieces and cultural impact, transcending through the career of the anonymous yet renowned artist.
A cultural first for Manchester, the city marks the very first destination in the UK for this global exhibition, which has welcomed over 3.5 million visitors across 36 cities – making an impact from Warsaw to Berlin. The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind is not officially authorised, in line with Banksy’s own principle that “Copyright is for losers © TM”.

Visitors can marvel at pieces inspired by the notorious Girl With Balloon shredding moment, the intriguing works of Devolved Parliament, a fully “Banksified” London Underground carriage, a towering seven-foot elephant installation, and the famous repurposed Nissan Micra – sold to the organisers by a Manchester teenager to recreate Banksy’s famous work of a rhino mounting the car.
In the first few days of opening, over 200 visitors rated the exhibition 4.7/5 (source: FeverZone). Standard adult tickets start at £22, with free entry for curious minds under the age of 6, and concession tickets available for 7–16 year olds, seniors and all NHS workers. Over 20,000 tickets have already sold, with the opening weekend 95% sold out. Visitors are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment.

John Carrigan, Director of Cartel Events Limited, says: “We are thrilled with the launch of the exhibition – it’s great to see such interest in a city with a vibrant culture like Manchester. We hope to maintain the momentum until summer as not only Mancunians but visitors from across the UK and beyond visit the experience. We are pleased to be working alongside Europe’s leading entertainment promoter, COFO Exhibitions, who holds 50 years of experience in revolutionary international exhibitions, and can’t wait to continue our exciting journey bringing world-class installations to new cities and audiences.”
